Default PIAA bulbs question..

Hey yall! just had some questions..
I am looking forward to buy some PIAA's light bulbs soon..
And never really figured out which is better then other, even tho they are all PIAA's parts.

I know that PIAA has 9000 series X-tream White Plus..and 9000 series Platinum super white..
What is brighter and works better?
Should I change both of the low(HB4, 9006) and high(HB3, 9005) beam bulbs? Or just low beam?

Thanks in advance

save your money, get some cheaper bulbs, and do a 9005 conversion. they put out 70% more light than the stock 9006 bulbs. do a search, there are TONS of posts on the conversion.

i've gotten 9005 GE superblues for $20/pair at walmart and put them in my car, my sister's accord, and my parents' accord. my sister and i like them much more than the 9006 piaa platinums we used to have.

IMO just do the lows

Thanks, just doing the low bulb change sound more money saving to me as welll since i never really use high beam unless i am trying to piss someone off badly, even cops(trust me, i've done it before, they just beam you back, well for me they do)

I don't know about 9005 conversion..sounds like 9006 bulbs are used more commonly then the 9005's are..I'll do more research on that part!
Thank you, keep me updated? or anyone have a do-it-your-self kind of posts?
thanks agian!

the reason to do the 9005 conversion is to get more light output. the 9006s put out ~1000 lumens and the 9005s put out 1700. very slight modification is needed to make the 9005 fit in the 9006 socket. i think there's a DIY for the conversion in the DIY forum.

I just read the pose i found verses
PIAA and SilverStars..
And I totally agree with yall, I loved piaa's look and all(in my friend's accord) but with all the talk(i know it's from last year) i've read, I'd pick the SilverStar by Sylvania..
So, any one have a cupon for them? thanks agian!

Default so..

I've e-mail the people and just to see what's up..

----------------------------------------------
Thank you for your inquiry.

The 9006ST has a 90 degree angle base. The 9006XSST has a straight base with no
angle in it. You should use the version of this bulb that is recommended for
your vehicle.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you,

Hi, I am Looking forward to buy some new light
bulbs, and I am very interested in SilverStar 9006. And I see that there is 9006
ST and 9006XS ST, what is the difference? Thanks in Advance.
----------------------------------------------

So, my another question is..what is the real difference between the ST and XSST? Which one do you use? Why?
And one have that cupon?(10 dolla rebate? off?)
Thanks agian!

P.S. I was thinking aboutthe 9005 convertion, but I just figured I don't want to mess around with the lights so much, just looking for cheap look good works good kind of deal..so i's SilverStar

I had PIAA extreems in my car for over 2.5 years and just this week one went. the light output is good, and it lasted a real long time. I might go back to stock for now, and then do the conversion using OEM bulbs.

All your answer is very appreciative..but I find this common thing..
You all who have repilied my question don't read my question clear and you have gave me some other answers then my question is really asking..
Like..PIAA-good? and your reply is just get a HID or 9005 convertion..
I just wanted a simple simple SIMPLE answer, but you all just never seem to reply to the right question, (or you make up a question to yourself and answer it back to me)

So, I have decided Silver Star as I said earlier..but NO NO NO 9005 convertion..if I had time for that(20 mins)? i'd sleep especially with my busy schedule..sorry if I sound like a dick right now..but somethings need to be done around here (don't go flamming off on me for this)

So, my another question is..what is the real difference between the ST and XSST? Which one do you use? Why?
And one have that cupon?(10 dolla rebate? off?)
Thanks agian!
