Oil consumption
Question about oil consumption. I put 4.5 quarts in my 4 cyl 6 gen sedan.
After approx 2 -2.5k miles I have to put another half a quart in it to bring the level between min and max marks. Is that consumption normal? Do engines all consume oil on some level, or good engines are not suppose to consume any?

No,.. there is something wrong. Do you have a leak??? Did you check for puddles??? 4.5 quarts should be good for more than 3500 miles. You are definitely burning oil.
Are your tune ups up to date???
