Default 2 very weird things

well i've been having some problems lately with the front of my car, when i go down my neighborhood, its like a long hilll that curves down to the right, and i start to break because theres a stop sign at the end, my front left tire makes like a *clank* noise, i think it had something to do with my brakes, then i pulled up in my driveway and when i braked and turned it made the same noise....well the second thing that happened was just me being bored at a light, i put my car into neutral and reved it and i only did it up to about 3k and then she cut off, i'm like oh its a 98 4cy sedan lx, anybody know whats up? is it my tranny going? i know its bad for 6thgens
