6th gen tinting
hi everyone. i just had a couple questions about what shade tint i should get on my 2001 accord sedan. its a green color with the light brownish interior. im tryint to decided if i should get the 20 or 35 percent. i was told by the man at the shop that because of the lighter interior the 35% will look lighter? any pics from other with tints and percent would be appreciated especially any green accords. i also wanna take into account the police factor and looks so leave some input. thanks.
If you want it to look dark, better go with 20%. I don't like real dark tint, I went with 35%. My interior is light gray, and you can check out my pics by clicking the link in my sig. That may help you decide on what percent tint you want.
As far as cops go, it really varies with where you live. Some states are lenient, others are stingy in what they allow (and enforce).
One thing is for sure...any tint really helps keep things cool in the summer and saves on sun exposure on the interior.
EDIT: Those pics don't show the tint that great. Here's 35% in overcast conditions:

I got 35% on my side windows and 20% on the rear glass.
My tint does appear to be much darker then Schmidy's on the side thanks to the dark rear window. I would avoid 20% on all windows else it will be very hard to see at night, 35% is very livable. 20% on my rear window is so dark I don't need to flip my rear view mirror.

i think u guys are probably right about the 35 percent. i was thinking maybe go 20 becauuse of the light interior but it seems that the 35 percent should be good enough to get the job done and still give a nice look to the car. anymore suggestions?
Yeah i got limo tint on the back three and 35% on the front two (cali tint laws) And its very dangerous to back up in the dark with the backs that dark. I wish i wouldve gotten a lighter tint like 20% on the back because of it. Plus im kinda diggin the lighter color tint that jschmid has.
