Default Muffler moves side to side....

Need help......as of yesterday morning when driving and I hit a bump or turn I started hearing this fricken noise like something moving around in the rear of the car.

I took all my crap out of my trunk. and starting eliminating what it could be.
After a while I tapped on the muffler with my sneaker and noticed it had some play. So I moved it a bit more with my hand ( to recreate car on the road scenerio ) I heard the same noise............

Wtf can it be? Do I have to get one of the hingers re-welded or something?

Damn, I might have to go to Shea Stadium for that.
I will get under my car tonight and take a look maybe I could do it myself.
Do I have to tighten a bolt or something?

The usual culprit is something broken right?

depending on exhaust systems, the exhaust normally has a lot of play side to side.. do you have an aftermarket exhaust? i know that the hks drager had quite a bit of play in it.. the greddy pulls the hangers pretty tight so it doesn't have as much play..

[input from Red Sox fan]At least you're going to Shea, and not the "toilet" (Yankee Stadium) [/input from Red Sox fan]

Ok, well here is the problem... I figured it out....My hangers are in perfect shape.

When I hit a bump or turn any direction the piping hits my Rear Lower Tie bar.
I find it strange because it seems that this only happens when the weather is hot ( does the metal expand when its hot ? ).

Its kinda chilly here in NY so I dont hear the noise. Maybe I just have to tighten up the tie bar since it does get loose from time to time.

Thanks for helpin me out.

Ok, I finally got under my car and noticed that the bolts are tighter than a virgin so im eliminating that.

Seems that the muffler pipe from cat to muffler hits the strut bar when i hit a bump or turn and makes that slight bangin noise.

Do they sell some sort of tape /rubber that I can wrap around the muffler pipe so at least when it hits the bar it wont make that noise?
