Default Clutch issues

It's been 15k miles since I installed my flywheel and clutch set...clutch is oem. For about the last 7k miles my clutch doesn't engauge until there's about 1" left in the pedal release. Way worse than the stock flywheel was doing with a burned clutch and pressure plate. When I borke it in, the first 1000 miles I was taking it easy, no riding clutch or hard shifts, and taking the long way to work to avoid traffic. I was wondering if I should have steped up to a clutch set with more clamping force than stock, (intake and header the only engine mods). What do you guys think?

BTW.
I am about to finally change my cabin filters...I'll take pic's of what they look like after 120k miles of Georgia pollen.

So I assume you installed a new OE clutch with the new flywheel?
You have to lauch a bit higher in the RPM band at starts, right? I would assume this helped kill the clutch early, may just need a stage 1.

Let me know what you install next, I was planning on using a fidenza flywheel and exedy stage 1 when the time comes.

I just upgraded to a stage 1 this past summer and after upgrading from OEM I'd recommend a street clutch upgrade. Its just a shame that you wasted your money on a new soft OEM clutch. you get a ton more clamping power with just a stage 1 clutch. I've got the ACT street disc and love it. Exedy is also a great clutch.
