Default 99 AV6 - 22.5mpg - is that about right?

I have a 1999 Accord V6. My AVERAGE mpg over a 6-month period - combined city and highway (probably 80% highway) is 22.5.

Is this about right? I was reading where some of you are getting 28-30?

I don't run the air conditioning much, and my tires are at 32psi. I haven't checked my air filter at all, but after doing some research I am going to change it tonight.

Any thoughts/ideas?

Thanks!

Paul

i run ...
short ram intake
comptech exhaust
stock plugs and wires
89 oct gas
17 in CL-S rims at 32psi

and pull around 24mpg. 22.5 is about right. with my stock rims, i got closer to 28mpg, but the CL-S's are much heavier.

I can around 500-550 km a tank (380 miles?) with 87 and TL-S rims but if I need an oil change, I do a lot worse. I guess that is around 30 mpg.

17inch rims
ebay intake
flowmaster muffler
system in the trunk
on a 2001 coupe ex auto 4cyl 19mpg ~300m empty lights on

Friend's 2000 DX sedan fully stock goes well over 400m before empty lights on

SUCKS for some of us!
