The genuine leather shift knob, the one you pictured, IS leather. All Honda's optional or stock LEATHER knobs are LEATHER. It'd be false advertising if they werent, something Honda is NOT known for.

I have the CL-S 6-speed leather knob in my accord, its the same thing as the prelude knob, only with black stitching, cost me about $70 tho...

No my car is NOT usually that dirty, as in the pic. That pic also shows how short my shifter is, and how much the boot reminds me of an old lady's titties. :uhhok:

What I meant to post the prelude has a black on black and a red stich on black knob. Both knobs are far better quality then the POS leather Accord optional knob.

I have all three, the Accord knob is the factory knob with a leather cover, it sucks bad, it is the cheapest leather ever, nothing like the steering wheel leather or anything. Plus the Accord knob [with the leather cover over] it conforms to no know ergonomic hand position. The plastic stock OE knob is way better in feel to the leather model.

I highly recommend the the Prelude's leather knobs. I've driven with both in my car, the CL & Prelude style knobs are so much nicer to have and use. Plus their leather wears much better then the Accord's leather knob. My Prelude knob look great a year later my Accord leather knob did not.

Heres some better pics of my shifter... both with a CL-S knob and 02 Civic SI knob. I have a red car, so the red stitching works a little better, but I dont like it that much. I just put that knob on sometimes for a change. Theres also a pic of my shifter inside the console... a tad short, huh?
