The Accord leather shift knob sucks, the leather texture isn't anything like the rest of the cars leather. The ludes, black and red stiched round type knobs are a bit taller but much, much nicer leather and feel. I'm positive you would like the Lude knob better, it even comes with a new boot too.

yep, that's it #1. in fact the accord part# on the plastic piece is exactly the same as the prelude part #

really? but it's leather. and NOTHING in my car is red, it's a black car with black interior, red stitching would look strange i think. but the boot is included? is it leather as well or just vinyl with red stitching or something?

The leather on that knob looks just like the leather honda uses on all their other knobs, which is never the same as the leather used on the seats.

If you're buying a knob from Honda, you wont get a boot with it.

I think you'd definatly be satisfied with the knob you want. The leather is the same as any other Honda or Acura leather knob Ive seen or had.

yeah, i'm wondering if MrChad confused the accord genuine leather knob with the "leather look" knob that comes standard??

well this may now all be old information... after some deep searching i've found for about $30 more you can have a real short shift assembly from lean racing

no.. mr chad has the red stich SH knob.. which is real leather.. same as the one i got in my prelude..

If you guys are interested.. there is a group buy right now for a true short shifter kit...
