Default Please help me understand my Accord

I just don't get this thing anymore.

Driving from NYC to Syracuse, I averaged 29.5 MILES PER GALLON.

I have 140,200 miles. I averaged 85 MPH the whole way, going between 75 and 95 depending on traffic. I took it up to 140MPH on a stretch of highway that was deserted.

I mean, I only hit VTEC twice...once when I was chasing a 350Z out of the gas station, then when I went for the speed run. But 29.5 MPG?!?!? The highest I've EVER gotten before was 27.8, and that was doing 72-75 all highway.

I mean, sure she's got her problems. The tranny is starting to go because the reverse synchro is messed up I think, the shocks are blown and I don't have the money to fix them, but this car is amazing.

$18.40 from NYC to Syracuse is pretty impressive. Even more impressive is this car 140,130 miles after the day I bought it.

Default mileage

I averaged about 30 mpg on a 4cyl sedan on a recent trip from Boston to Toronto, Canada with four people and a trunk full of luggage.I was pretty impressed. We only filled up the tank three times for the entire round trip.

I can run up to 350 miles between fill ups, and that is before the gas light turns on.

I generally get about 30-34mph in my 96 4cyl and have gotten as high as 38. depending on the driving conditions.

When I used to run from central NJ to Ottawa and leaving late at night I would make it on one tank, with room to spare.

Most road trips I'm in the low 30's.
However when I traveled down south the first summer I had the car I drove around on gas they had that doesn't contain the winter blend crap Ohio has, I got an amazing 40mpg, it's only happened once.

Using cruise and running 70mph and drafting off of semi's should result in a high 30's average for freeway running. But you need to really pay attention, chasing Z's in the triples isn't doing you any help.

I get about 400 miles before the fuel light comes on. I don't know how many gallons I have left at that point, but I usually fuel up before it get down to 1/4 of a tank. Sometime, I could go for 100 miles and it seems like the needles only moves a little bit. I thought if I keep going like that, I'll get 600 miles easily. However, as soon as I stop and start it up again, the needles moved the same distance after another 30 miles. I think I average about 19 miles per gallon in non traffic city and 27 miles per gallon in city driving. It is a heavy V6 EX with all the bells and whistles.

I get around 350-375 on mixed city/highway driving. I've yet to take a 'trip' with my Accord. I almost got 400 before I put in my intake and header, but that may be just because I've got a heavier foot than when I first got her.

I only buy gas at two places, or at least I try my DAMNEST because I've found otherwise I only get about 300-325 which makes me
