Default Accord Wagon Brake Swap?

Has anyone here done the 4th gen wagon front brake caliper / prelude rotor swap?

Is it a direct swap over to the 4th gen sedans?

****, stooopppiiiddd.... I was thinkin the 5th gen accord for some reason... DOH!! Um, they may still work for the 4th gen though, same bolt pattern... just a matter of weather or not the caliper would bolt up. :dunno: I'm assuming you want bigger brakes, right?? You could always invest in a big brake kit... lol. you can buy the rotors, pads and calipers new from auto zone or something... instead of finding a junked car. Used brakes suck!!

I have both cars laying around though, i'll pull the wheels off tomorrow and take a look...

oh trust me i planned on using new (rebuilt) calipers from Autozone (about 40.00 per) and some powerslots for rotors.

yah im tired of replacing rotors literally every 2 months on this POS car.

AEM big brake kit is a joke IMHO. Single piston caliper on a big rotor?? no thanks.

I'm in the midst of doing the Accord Wagon front brake swap to my 92 sedan. I'm using Bendix wagon rotors, calipers and mounts from a 93 wagon (bolted to my sedan spindles,) Brembo brake pads and Valvoline synthetic DOT 5.1 fluid. The Prelude rotors someone mentioned are different than the wagon ones, I believe there is an offset difference. While I read about someone doing a 93-96 VTEC Prelude suspension swap to their 4th gen Accord sedan, I cannot attest to the effectiveness or quality of this swap. I autocross in F Street Prepared, so rules stipulate that only a few brake mods may be made so I can't use a AEM big brake kit or anything like that. This is also a daily driven street car, so I stayed away from cross-drilled rotors for reliability concerns.

You could get the wagon rotors and rebuilt calipers from your local auto parts and then just get the caliper brackets and pads from the dealer.

It would be cheaper then one of those "Big Brake" kits. Not that much larger then the stock rotors but an improvment none the less. Stock Seden/Coupe rotors are 10.25" diameter where as the Wagon is 11" diameter rotor.

Use new rotors and just go down to Napa or whatever and get a set of NSX brake calipers. I know on the 5th gen wagon its a direct swap and I am planning on this for my 4th gen wagon.

If you did this then you could also get a set of the larger rotors from Brembo/AEM or wherever and it would be a drastic improvement.

Oh and the calipers come with the pads and the total is like $80 a wheel for the calipers after core return.

$80 for NSX calipers after core? What do you give them in return, your stock Accord calipers?
