6th gen SRS Light problem
As some of you know, i had leather installed my accord recently but a problem has arisen. My srs light came on basically because i think the car was started without the seatbelt connector plugged in. My questions is, how do i reset this on a 6th gen accord sedan, and if i do reset it will i have any problems like the air bag randomly goin on ?

I know when my friend sits in my passenger seat and leans to far over towards the door/seat he turns on my SRS light. Once he sits straight up it turns off.
I would just disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect it. Hopefully that resets it.
If the 6th gen is the same as the 5th gen, then you can reset the srs light with a paperclip if you find the yellow reset connector which is above the hood release.
do a search for SRS and it should come up. I read it here before, because I've done it before. (To no avail, I might add, because my SRS control unit is busted)
Hope that's somewhat helpful.

If you disconnect the seatbelt with the ignition on 6th gen 2000-02 than you will have to go to the dealer to reset the srs system, 2000 was the first year Honda started integrating the seatbelt with srs. I was told the only way to reset the system (light to go off) was to have the dealer hook it up to their computer. They shouldnt charge you anything, or very little to do this. If in the future you disconnect the seatbelt make sure the key is in the off position and not to turn it back on until the seats are back in. Not a big deal.
You don't have to take it back to the dealer. You can easily reset it using the paper clip method. I just used speaker wires and it worked too. I had to do it when I installed an amp under my passenger seat. You just have to get the timing down and it will reset with no problems. Just make sure that you are certain that your SRS light came on because of the leather install. Do a search and you will find it. It's been posted many times already.

*skee-skurt*
Edit: here is the link to reset the srs light http://www.hondapitstop.com/accord/t...1/SRS/srs.html

Even tho i told him that i took my seat out, and this happened immedately afterwards, he still said it would cost 97 dollars because they have to run tests on it. So, if you mean 97 is little, i guess youre not bullshit, otherwise, look for a paperclip and hope you dont **** shit up!

well i got the balls and i tried it, a little background... i took the car to a honda dealer a few days ago, tech said i had to drop off a $80 check and if it was the seat belt iit was covered, if for any reason it wasnt they would keep it. I thhought to myself, whats stoping them from just making something up? so i decided to follow the instructions that i found on the forums AND THEY WORKED! the srs light is no longer on
im so happy, teh internet=god.
