Default LOWERING NIGHTMARE!!! Please Help!

ok well im a 17 yr old high school student and cant afford to pay anyone to put in the springs i purchased abdout 2 weeks ago (neuspeed sports). so my only options were puttin them in myself or gettin them put in at my high school which has an auto shop, wit lifts, springs compressor, all that type shit. So my boys are in that class and i know that they have dropped cars before and nobody has had problems, and the cars look great. So bein a cheapo i tell my cuz and a few friends to put my springs in, they said no prob, well jus do the fronts today, im like str8.

ok well yesterday in school my boy came over to me between class changes and says everything is goin great, everything came off fine and they got the springs mounted in the shocks. im like great, i cant wait to see my cars new look. so one more period goes by and im thinkin they gonna be done wit it, then they break the bad news to me.....

my cuz tells me he went to put the shock and spring assembly back onto the car and the axle was displaced or some shit, then he tried the other side and the axle was also out of place...does anyone know y this happened, my car has been in the auto shop for the past 2 days and i cant afford buying any new shit....damn i wrote a hella lot

anyways does anyone know for wut reason the axles may have gotten out of place and y, they havent fixed it and their teacher is a experienced mechanic overseeing the project, i dont know wut the **** the prob is....any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

What car do you have?

They prolly didn't know what to do so they decided to take appart the lower control arm that mounted the your braking system where the axle mounted to so that they cab slide the shock&spring assembly in easier. Arg.........I don't know what the terms or how to call it, but they shouldn't do that. Anyways, just re-insert the axle to the assembly, it shouldn't be a pain in the a**. Just becareful and NOT TO hammer the axle really hard.

Just pop the axels back in, when you tap the axels in with a rubber mallet the little clip on the teeth part will snap back in. When they took off the springs the took stuff off that they didn't need to and probably pulled the axels over the get the shocks and springs and the axels popped out. It is no big deal, I just put new axels in my car last year. Just tap them back into place and your all good. If your shop teach could figure that how, he should be teaching auto shop class!!!

thats sad if a mechanics course can't do your suspension. I did mine with my friend in a parking lot whithout any prior experiance. The thing I hate about mechanics is that they don't read instructions. Get a freaking manual open it up and do what is said to be done. Shops SUCK!!!! Once a mechanic just threw the front struts in whithout alligning that notch that goes into the fork. DUMBASS. Something wasn't right and I noticed it at a nearby gas station. When I told the mechanic how it should be done he got all offended. He was sooo pissed that he accidently snapped the struts head off and had to drive 45min to get another one.
