True, true..., but the man said he replaced his coolant out and put in a new t-stat. I imagine he flushed out the radiator in the process.

I guess the question should be did you find particles or "crud" in your coolant when you drained the radiator?

or it could be that you have a little hole in your head gasket. Once a car overheats a lot of the times the heads get warped, or you blow a head gasket. Go and have your rad. checked for crude in it, check the hoses for leaks and make sure they aren't clogged, and if everything is cool the you will need to check the head gasket to see if it blown or not.

I had the same problem, ended up being the part that the hose (the upper hose that runs to the block) goes over was destroyed and was eaten away I guess you could call it that :-/

I did a coolant flush also , spending too much money on the car it pissing me off

NOPE i didn;t see no crud in my coolant

nmmm when the car is at highspeed it doesnt need the fan on or at least one. so not what i was thinking, if u dont find anything that solvers the problem why not just take it to ur mechanic and he will tell u the problem and solution and maybe u can do it urself.
