Ok serious Suspension advice
I have a 96 accord and I have wanted to drop it like it’s hot for a min now. I am looking for the aggressive appeal and the better handling in turns, but don’t want to sacrifice the comfort to much. Now I finally have the money to do so. This is what I was going to purchase.
H&R Sport Springs 1.75 F/ 1.5 R = 155.00 Shipped
Neuspeed Koni Yellow 475.00 + 22.00 = 497.00
That brings me to = 652.00 in total
Now I have been looking on eBay and I came across this
JDM Apexi Apex-i WS coilover coilovers Accord 90-97
JDM Apexi Apex-i WS coilover coilovers Accord 90-97 = 650.00 + 50.00
Which brings me to = 700.00 in total
What is going to suit me better, the full coilover suspension or the individual spring & shock combo? Which would feel better? There is only a 50.00 buck difference in budget. I really don’t know what to do, can anyone give me some opinions on what I should do what setup would be better. Anything will help also if anyone has the apexi ws dampers on there car how do they feel. Also if this is a good deal thanks anything is much appreciated

I'm not going to say get one or the other...but I know my friend who drives a 5th gen had the Apexi WS coilover system (not sure if it was "JDM" as you have listed there) and he got rid of it after a few months in favor of konis and springs. I can't remember exactly why he got rid of it, but he said he wasn't happy overall with the setup. Sorry I can't say exactly why, I just know he got rid of his.
Someone else on the board may have them and love them, who knows. This was just one experience I know of.

I believe that a shock and spring combo should ride better than a coilover since with a coilover u have different spring compressions while regular drop springs are made for just one compression ( i hope u see what I mean).. I have a shock spring combo, but I never had anything to do with a coilover setup so don't take my word for it. Here are the hard facts I can give you. I have a 6th gen and a rated drop of 2.5" like the Eibachs had wasn't that much on 18's. If u want to "drop it like its hot" consider even lower springs.
THe eibach springs I have on my car are Awesome. They ride so smoothe yet they are agressive and resist body lean very well. I would reccomend them to everyone although I never had anything else to compare to. I can simply say that they are very good.
I think u will be good with the koni H&R setup. THe konis allow u to adjust ur ride height some more so think that through so u don't have to rip ur car apart again to make changes.

Definately go with the koni's/springs combo. It sound like your not going to be happy w/ a 1.5" drop. That is not a whole lot on our accords. I would consider something like Neuspeed Race springs. For most applications they are a 2" drop give or take a little. Mated w/ Yellows that should be a beautiful combo.
i heard ppl complain about harshness of neuspeed race. might want to take that into consideration. Do u want a smooth ride or u want an agressive harsh ride? Think of ur local road conditions as well.
for a daily driver.. nothitng is better than koni yellows and the eibacj prokit. i have that setup on my accord and it is alot more forgibving for daily frving than my previous setup (tokicos/skunk2 coilovers). honestly, that setup was crap, but i got it for a ceap price when i first started modding my car. well.. in any case, the konis also offer a 1/2 inch adjustment from stock height from their adjustable perches so the prokit sit the car low enough. i have it set at the lowest setting on all 4 corners. perfect drop for me.
I went with tockio shocks with tanabe sport springs, brought my car down 2" and is the best ride I've had on any of my vehicles, I've had koni/neuspeed before on my integra and that ride sucked. What size tires also help, my tires are 205/45/17

No money right now pwns me, so im kinda stuck riding with this current setup, im thinking later of going with eibach sportlines or something else that does around a 2" drop. I hear "sport" springs tend to ride better than "race" springs.
sup men w/ that much u willin to spend just add another 100 and get the tein basic coilover since ur getting coilovers and strut(shocks)which will work together alot better than HR spring and koni.
