Default Tein vs Tokico vs Koni/eibach

Question to suspension experts:
I am planning to get suspension setup in a couple of month and just wondering whats better for 6 gen sedan:
Tein basics, Tokico Illumina set, or to get Koni shocks and Eibach springs?
Give me some opinions please.

I've heard good things about Koni shocks and Eibach springs.

Id go with Tein Basic since they are designed to work together.

I've Had tokico RAK full coilover for about a year now after upgraded from Ground Control + Illuminas shocks, and they do wonderfully well. I've done many things to it, slide the car, bottomed it, super mad aggressive driving (when I was heart broken) etc, but it is still hanging there with me. So I vote for it, I've never experience Teins so I don't know.

But becarefully, Tokico RAK full coilover is NOT Tokico Illuminas Coilover. Tokico RAK full coilover = adjustable Height + adjustable damping, just like Teins. Tokico Illuminas Coilover = fixed ~ 1.5" drop + adjustable damping. They called it coilover, but no height adjustable at all. I had to find that out the hard way.

Agreed. I think both setups would be about the same price, so I'd go with the Teins, especially since you can adjust the height when needed.

I'm using Koni Yellows and the Eibach Prokit. In hindsight, I'd have scraped up the extra cash and gone with some Teins. As mentioned, full coilovers are engineered to work together. The valving rates, spring rates and all that jazz are matched for optimal response.

BUT, my setup is decent. I've spent a few days in total testing out the different settings on the dampers and I'm satisfied with what they're doing for me now. I won't bother upgrading at this point.

About height adjustment on coilovers - that is a major selling feature, but there are also perches on the damper body that allow for half an inch up or down. How frequently will you want to change your height anyway?
