a long time ago the govnment or somebody didnt want manual wit v-6's since they would be very fast especially on a "family" car, this is why older camry's v-6 are only auto. but now you can swap in solara 5spd trannies wit them. now, i guess the demand changed.

with the 6th gen V6's, there was not a single 5 or 6 speed available from Honda.

They didn't make the V6 Accord with a 5 speed for a long time. I believe the first year to include that option (and it was an option, as strangely the automatic was cheaper) was either 2000 or 2001.

Edit: Weird, the mod thinks otherwise. I've never seen one in person, so I guess I'll just have to agree with him. I really thought the newer ones 6thG did, though (the year they changed the bumper.)

the i4's came with a 5 speed. V6's had an automatic tranny though the entire 6th gen.

the closest thing you can get back then was an Acura 3.2CL-S or 3.2TL-S

I hope you are kidding.

Like Eklypse said...the first Accord to get a V6 with manual tranny was in '03 and it's only in the coupe.
