7th gen was the first Accord V6 to get a manual tranny at all...;point blank end of argument...anyone who says different doesn't know what they are talking about.

As for why...this has been a debate for a long time but basically it all boils down to the idea that the Accord was never meant as a sports car but more as a family car so it was seen as an option no one would buy with the V6.

Alas, the 6th Gen Accord V6 didn't have a manual. The '03 Model Year was the first year to have a stick. The Acura '02 3.2 Cl Type S had a six speed on it's J32 powerplant.

the closest thing you can get back then was an Acura 3.2CL-S or 3.2TL-S
My dad has an '01 Cl S and a manual wans't an option until the '02 model year. As far as I am aware, the TL didn't recieve a manual until the current('04) model year.

I know the whole 6th gen V6's had only a automatic, however, like kenton said, someone told me he knew a girl who had a 6th gen V6 5speed. and He said it was a rare factory option as well, so maybe there are a few floating around, I doubt it, but maybe, lol. As far as Av6 swaps go, its possibled to swap over the CL-S 6 speed with little modification, its been done, however, espeically if your supercharged, you might break your front motor mount alot until you custom make a poly-urethane one.
