I agree. I went from wheels that were 26lbs to 18lbs and it felt a tremendous gain in acceleration. Any kind of weight drop, especially on wheels will help a great amount. HOWEVER, if you get 17s, it will always be in back of yuor head that you could have got 18s for only 100$ or so more...The price difference b/t 17s and 18s is so small that id say itd be a waste not to save your money for another week and go with 18s. I ended up giving in and upgrading to 18s after i added my kit.

acceleration = same
braking = slightly worse...but hardly noticable
But Keeper....6th gens look much better with 18s-19's....you'll regret getting 17's especially if you plan on getting a kit.

and yes, i agree, i regreted getting 17s....especially after the add on kit...
