Default Aftermarket e-brake handle

I want to put in an aftermarket ebrake handle on my 94 Accord. In order to do so, do I need to cut the covering on the ebrake or does the aftermarket one slide over it?

it's a pain in the ass. you gotta feel the stock ebrake handle. if there's any sort of ergonomic contour to it, that will have to be shaved or sanded off. on the 6th gens, there's a large nub on the tip of the handle, so i decided it wasn't worth mangling my interior.

so my question remains, does the handle slide over the existing cover or do I have to cut it back to get it to fit?

you'll have to cut it if there's any sort of contour. if it's a straight stick, then it should slide right over.

Now, If I cut it, im assuming there's just a set screw or two underneath that hold the thing in place????? The reason im asking is cause I can get a custom made ebrake boot made but I'd have to send in my ebrake cover(stock ebrake handle covering) and was wondering if it would be possible for them to do that knowing that I will eventually put on an aftermarket handle.

Custom PARKING brake boot?????

If your going to put on an aftermarket handle, then why mess with having a coustom one made???

Stay with the stock setup man. going aftermarket is just going to cause problems in the future.

I did my e-brake handle on my 97 it was a bithc believe me but it was also well worth it. I went through 3 handles before i found one that would actually slide over you will have to cut a grove in towards the rear of the handle. I got ractive handle and boot which they sell at circuit city in car audio cost was $40 bucks and yes there will be set screws. do not buy i repeat do not buy pepboys, autozone, or oriellys shit it will not even slide over the shaft. good luck to you fellow hondaman

yes, custom made e-brake boot to match my custom made shift boot, done purely for aesthetics.
