DIY Racing Seat Install
Tools needed:
High power drill
Metal cutting tool
1/4 flat bar 2 pieces
8 bolts and nuts 16 washers
1. Remove your brackets from the seats and cut them so that you have a flat surface.
2. After doing so measure where the holes on the bottom of the seat your putting in are. Measure front to back and side to side
3. Take your stock brackets and bolt them to the floor. Now measure how far away they are from each other. Now cut the 1/4 metal flat bar to fit.
4. Since the bars are now cut take the measurement of how far the holes are from each other front to back and drill holes into the stock bracket.
5. Now drill the holes in the flat bar so that when you put the flat bar and bolt it to the bracket it lines up like the pics below.
6. Now take the mesurement of how far the holes are away side to side and drill holes according to that measurement in hte flat bar.
7. Screw the seats down and bolt everything down and your down.
Side Note. This can be easy and difficult. I used a dremel to do most of the metal cutting. After doing one bracket i decided to take it to a machine shop. Also when i drilled hte holes they didnt line up like I wanted so I had to adjust them. The best thing to do is to take the flat bar and brackets to the shop to be all cut and drilled. It will make life eaiser but it can be done by you. Also use a drill that plugs in the battery ones wont last. Get titanium bits because the normal metal bit does last.
