Default shifter imobolozied

Hi

Have a 99 3.2tl. Wife drove it, the alarm goes off. she tries to drive the car later but she cannot shift out of park. Does the alarm immobolize the shifter?

if yes how do you fix this.

Thanks

Dave

Default Found the problem FYI

The horn for the alarm died causing a short (blown fuse) in the system.
I was able to get the car in gear by popping the plastic clip (located beside the shifter) out of place, insert a screw driver and then shift the car into gear.
