Default shifter problem

i was just wondering if anyone can give me alittle advice. i have a 95 civic DX with a DC sports short shifter and energy suspension bushings. Before i bought the bushings i posted and said that my shifter seems to stick alittle before going into gear(mainly second) and everyone said to go buy some shifter bushings. well i went and bought some and they didnt seem to help much at all, im not even sure if it changed anything. i was just wondering if there could be something else wrong. could i have installed it wrong? i cant think of anything else i can do.

also, alittle off that subject, but will the same shifter work when i get my h22 or GSR swap?

H22 transaxles use a cable shifter. Completely different design.

when i have the car off i can shift back and forth between all gears and it slides in and out as smooth as possible. when i have the car on, and i try to shift it is still really smooth coming out and going to the gear. but when i try and put it in gear it wont go in for a sec, it sticks there and than goes in. everything seems to be pretty loose and smooth except for going into gear.

my short shifter doesn't stick but it had gotten a bit harder to shift...also it squeaks going from 1st onto 2nd and 3rd into 4th i greased it up like crazy so i don't know why its doing it. and its not cause of the heat shield contact..i checked.
