Default Brake noises

Don't have a lot of exp with Hondas but in general if your getting a scrubbing and sqealing noise the squealing is pretty normal and some brake "goop" on the back of the pad under the shim should take care of it. The scrubbing sound could be one or both calipers not releasing the pad properly, new pads and possibly slightly wider rotors ... when you did the brakes did you relube the caliper slides? if not that may contribute to the problem.

Good luck

that will get rid of that annoying noise. most car stores should stock the product. the kind i used came in a clear bottle and the gel is pinkish in color.

If there is a definite brake / rotor rubbing, you might have a slightly warped rotor. It might have to be resurfaced down a millimeter or 2

I'm gonna throw in just one off topic reply in this guys defense - maybe he meant $10. (you wouldn't think he'd word it "brand new" off a "good friend" if they weren't cheap)

As far as the brakes go - i just got mine replaced about....probably 800 miles ago and they're just now starting to squeal a little. Not concerned though.
