Just bought a '94 EX
Curious question:
What year cd headunit can I plug and play into my car? Or another choice is to find the stock cd changer on e-bay or something like that and plugging it into the trunk, problem is that I can't find any pre-wiring. Can someone shed some light on these?
Thanks
Sean

I hear ya ... but I really like the factory look, also a little tougher to steal (at least I hope so)

Tougher to steal in the sence that it dosent draw as much attention. The 96-97 Accord single disc in dash cd unit will plug right in and mount to the stock bracket behind the radio. It puts out a little more power than the cassette deck in your car now, so you'll have slightly improved sound as well. If you plan to change the stock speakers anytime, this would be a good choice. If you go the changer route, look for an Alpine M-Bus changer... which can easily be found on ebay... sometimes even with the proper honda/acura adapter needed.
Hey, I have a stock 97 CD player w/tape deck I am going to sell soon. SumAccordGuy94 is right about it having more power than the one you have now. The seperate CD player plugs into the back of the tape deck like a normal CD changer port. If you are interested in buying it, hit me up on one of my instant messengers.
so Mountainboy, you have the stock cassette deck/radio with the add-on single cd player? Or is it the radio/cd combo with an add-on tape deck? If its a cassette deck with an add on cd player, there is no power gain, as its the same tape deck that came in the 94s.
ssbob, that is another option... finding a single disk add-on player that mounts below the radio... it is still controlled by the OEM cassette deck.

It is the cassette deck with the add-on single CD player that mounts above the radio. SumAccordGuy94 is probably right about there not being a power gain(I checked after I posted), but the sound is a great improvement over the FM or regular tape deck. I am getting rid of mine to an MP3 player with an auxillary input for XM Radio. I installed the XM radio, but am forced to listen to it with the tape adapter for now(YUK!).
Thanks for the input guys, appreciated. Mountainboy let me know if you are gonna sell it and how much you want for it, I may not be able to pick it up for a little while now as my company is relo'ing me to TX in the next month so money right now is kinda tight. Thanks
