Default 6th gen Accord Front Speakers

I cannot get the lid to open. I was preying on it and one of the nut (or whatever you call it) broke. I was thinking of popping the whole thing from the door, but that takes too long. Can someone help me so I can install my Kicker speakers?

you need to remove the whole dorr panel to get to those speakers. Do a search in this forume. I've asked about it before and found it that way.

The "lid" doesn't open, it all comes off as one piece with the door panel. And the door panel only takes like 2 minutes to remove. I just had all 4 of mine off recently, after you do one, the rest are a snap.

You have to first remove all of the srcews from the door panel. Then begin pulling the door panel towards you slowly so the snaps on the inside of the panel come loose. Once you do that, you have to then finese the door handle through it slot of the door panel, but if you get too much resisatnce then there may be another hidden screw behind the door panel that is screwed into the door frame itself. Once all of this is done, lift the door panel above the slot of the door lock at an angle where the door panle slants upward from the mirror side towards the opening, and slide the panel away from the mirror at that angle out of the door panel's track. From there you can disconnect the wires that are mounted onto the door frame from you old speakers, unscrew the speaker mount from its frame and replace the speaker then.

I had to do the same thing when I replaced all of my speakers too.

They made it so hard. I actually broke two of those plastic screws. It's hard enough getting the rear speakers off.

Those plastic snap screws have little lips on one of the sides so you can just use a flat head screw driver to pull those out. You can get more of those for pennies at the dealership...

Getting to the rear speakers are even easier of a process...you just have to be flexible. Inside the trunk you will find 3 nuts on each speaker on the deck. After loosening those off all you have let is to disconnect the wires, and the unit the houses the speakers comes out with ease from the back seat. The deck panel and everything else doesn't have to get taken out. The only thing that is hard about the rear deck speakers are the awkard positions you are in in order to loosen up the nuts and screws in the trunk.
Hondas are pretty easy to get to the rear speakers in comparison to other makes and models. I had to take the entire rear seat, deck brake light, and deck cover out of a Toyota Corolla just to get to it's rear deck speakers before and install them standing on the interior's undercarriage...

Good luck with your speakers, it may seem hard now, but it'll be worth it to have a great sound system in your car.

my bad, I didn't get the Kicker. I actually got the Cerwin Vega 602 over the Infinity for the front. I got Infinity 6953i for the rear and it sounds pretty good w/ my Panasonic 783u. Still looking for an amp. anybody know any cheap ones that will provide good sound?
