Default Aem V2

Hey whats up people. I jus installed the AEM V2 on my friends 03 AV6. That thing is a worthless POS. :a: I can get the same gains from the normal CAI's and changing out my spark plug wires. Does anyone elsse here have the AEM V2? What are your thoughts about it?

well according to AEM the V2 is supposed to be better, so i don't understand why it's not working for you. maybe your butt dyno needs calibration or it could be that the difference is so small it can't be felt and the extra coin wasted on the V2 makes you think you should feel a difference between a CAI.

fyi-changing out perfectly good oem plug wires for new ones will not add any hp.

Damn, lemme know to put my flame suit on first foo. anyways, I'm just stating that the V2 is not worth the investment. and the comment i made about the wires was just make for a little stronger spark. For the gains, i would not drop near 300 for that intake.

PS i was asking if anyone else has this intake and what are their thoughts about it.

i was just j/k about the V2 part. i bet the difference is too small to tell if you already had a aem cai to start with. not many people do have it though since for accords at least 90-02 the V2 is a short ram and not a CAI so it's not a popular choice and the price doesn't help either.

All good. Blah, either way the same amount of air goes through the throttle bottle so it doesn't really matter. If they want more air to go in, invest in force induction.

I think it was just a bunch of marketing hype...AEM is notorious for pushing their new products a little too hard and overcharging accordingly.

I have seen the dyno charts but unfortunatley they all come from AEM and are Stock vs V2 comparisons instead of company for company comparisons on the same exact vehicle.

$300 for an intake is way too much to be paying....I got better things to do with the $120 I saved by not buying it.
