Default Question about My Springs

my friend got me some sportline springs that were used and one of the coils were cut off on each spring by the person he got them from...does anyone know how low the car will be with one less coil...and do you guys think tociko performace shocks willl be able to handle it??? its for my 98 i4 sedan...help would be appreciated...thanx

Default DO NOT USE THOSE SPRINGS!



If I were you, I'd get rid of those even if you got them for free. The springs were designed with a certain # of coils and a certain spring rate for a reason. By cutting off one (or any) coils you mess up the whole balance of the spring. Not only is it going to be uncomfortable, it's going to be unsafe. So, save your money and get a good pair of springs for < $200. As for the shocks, tokico doesn't withstand a drop more than 2" and sportline drops 2.2" I believe.

Sorry about telling you how much they drop... I'm not too familiar w/ sportlines bc I use B&G
