Default stupid question.

Could someone tell me where the VTEC Sylendoid is on a 97 EX? I want to install my own VTEC light but I looked yesterday and didn't see it right off. I wouldn't want to splice into the wrong thing. Thanks,

I believe he already stated the reasoning for wanting to know where the wire was located.

Default just because

I was in a prelude once that had one and it was rather cool. I am going to be taking my dash apart anyway so I I figured what the heck, it won't cost much so why not install one at the same time. Plus someday I would like to change the computer chip, so it would be nice to actually see when the VTEC kicks in. Also was thinking it may help for gas mileage, I mean if you can control when it kicks in (by seeing the light come on) then when you are travelling, if you don't need the VTEC to come on then you can drive accordingly. And if that doesn't work then you still have neat looking light in your dash that cost me almost nothing.

Thanks, much appreciated. On another note though, I have to know, how the heck did you get that much horsepower out of a F22 motor. :bowdown:Please tell. I am very interested. Or if you don't want to give your secrets, can I email you? Thanks again,

i always recommend stand alone management, bigger injectors, and intank fuel pump. hondata aemEMS are good ones etc etc i have the hondata s200b.. management is the main thing in boosting a car that wasn't meant to be boosted.. everything else is secondary.

the right sized turbo... I have the t3/t04e ( i don't know the specs because it was never imprinted on the turbo) , free flowing exhaust (in my case i have the cutout open dp 2.5"), sufficient front mount intercooler (i have the one from drag.It should be good up to 350-400 hp or so..)

that's about it.. pretty basic. the main thing is fuel... you skim on fuel, you shouldn't boost at all.
