Just get the TEIN BASIC kit, SS is for track/racing. Anything from TEIN is awesome.. I have the TEIN STECH kit on my car and the ride quality is excellent.

If you are going to raise them, just keep them clean. I spray mine out with brake cleaner all the time. i love mine, but i don't have anythng to compare them with, since i've only driven my car with stock suspension.

If you are thinking about moving them around, you will have to do it. Best way to keep them in tip top condition is spray them down with cleaner (i use brake parts cleaner) give them a little lubrication then move them the whole length of the thread (this removes any excess gunk that's built in the threads). By the time i was done i could flick bottom perch of the coilovers and it would go down about a 4th of the way
