just accelerate slowly
then it would seem like you are shifting as quickly

 

hav the mentality of a 5th gear and use the 6th as "over-overdrive" unless the gear ratios are way different. in my accord 4th would do 40-60mph.

 

you should beable to hold those gears out alot longer than hitting 3500 every time. i haven't actually driven a 7th gen 6speed so i dunno.

But i know when i drive my H22 with H23 Trasmission going through the gears is a must, starting in second or even third just boggs the car down waaay too much, and isn't very good on the motor mounts. But with this tranny i can be in 100+ in 4th gear and top out at 120 cuz of my governer.... got a whole nother gear to go even further!
