Thanks, SumAccordGuy - that's good to know. I definitely do want an amp and new front speakers eventually . . . but I'd like to start by just putting in 6X9s , since I'm sure I can at least do that much by myself. Now that I know the sound from the front speakers won't get any worse if I do that, I think I'll get started! (When I do get an amp, I should change the wiring, right?)

xjdmb16a2six - Actually it's not as bad as I thought it would be with just the front speakers - but, yeah, not much bass at all!!
