Loud thumps may be the metal dust covers, but they are more of a squeak.

Or clunky springs which can be fixed by using corugated wire insullation.

Either your coils are clunking together or your control arm is hitting the inner fender which ive never heard of with h&r's. Get under there and check it out.

Did you get camber kits too? I had a loud thump over every bump. Just had to have the metal plate on top sanded down a little.

I have the same problem, But......
I put in coil overs and DUMPED it right off the bat. I went to a concert in a farmers field a few weeks ago and got high centered.
So I raised it about 1.5" now I have the klunk. Only on the pass rear. ?????????????????????
I would like to know what it is.

Sorry to hear that. I had both of those problems except my loud thump was from the front. I HAVE H&R SPORT SPRINGS.
DID YOU GET CAMBER KITS? must know!

I got ingalls camber kits in the front and when you adjust them out the control arms hit your inner fender which makes is a loud thump, to fix that i had them re-align my car and adjust the camber in a little so the arm missed the inner fender (giving it more nevagive camber).
Maybe (if you have rear camber kits) the rear arm is hitting something? OR, maybe its just your springs clinking (no biggy).

ABOUT THE RIDE HIGHT...
I have that same problem, my rear right sits about a half an inch (or a finger) higher then the left rear. I think my car has been lowered for about 8-12 months (cant remember) and its still like that. it bugs the hell outa me, STILL! so im going to buy a spring compresser and take that spring out and see if i can turn it a little (if they didnt set it right when installing) and maybe it will fix it.? if not im buying new springs, some sort of race springs maybe if im feeling rich I'll buy some ground controls .

hope that helps

DO YOU HAVE THE BIG RUBBER BUSHING ON THE TOP OF THE COIL THAT KEEPS THE COIL ALIGNED OR IS IT METAL. I HAVE A 93 ACCORD AND THE RUBBER BUSHINGS. IT ALWAYS PUSHES UP INSIDE THE OPEN AREA ABOVE THE COILS (ONLY IN THE REAR), I HAVE TO RESEAT THEM EVERY 3 DAYS OR SO. I NEED TO GET THE METAL ONES. JACK UP YOUR CAR AND MAKE SURE THE COILS ARE STILL SEATED PROPERLY.

yeah maybe its just the spring coils slapping together that make the noise?

but about the ride hight I did a search (typed in H&R sports) on HS.com and found that there seems to be about 2-4 people with the same exact problems (clank noise & ride hight). They fixed the clank, but couldnt find anything else out about the ride hight.

I jacked up my car today to see if the spring was set in wrong and I dont think it is especialy since other people have (had) the same problem in the same corner.

Imma email H&R i think.

later

did you leave the stock bumpstop on there??? if its a stock shock its prob worn out and you're bangin the bumpstop. I'd take a peek and see if its got fresh bonk marks on it the car could actually be riding on a bumpstop for all i know.. and what you're hearing is it going up.. then *bonk* back down.

what shocks/struts do you have on it?
