6th Gen engine questions, 148 and 150hp???
I was checking cars.com and under the Accord engines it lists:
135-hp, 2.3-liter I-4
148-hp, 2.3-liter I-4
150-hp, 2.3-liter I-4
200-hp, 3.0-liter V-6
I know the 200hp comes with the LX V6 and EX V6, but what's up with the 148hp and 150hp? Which trims do they come in and why is it only 2hp difference? I am assuming the DX comes with 135hp.
Also did the 6th gens ever have black leather?

the 148hp engine was the I4 that was available for CA and NY LX and EX Models.
The 150hp engine was available for the LX and EX in the rest of the 48 states.
As for the black leather, it came in coupes, but I don't know if it was available for the sedans...

Only in coupes huh? I wonder why they did that. Anyway I am asking all these questions cuz I've been thinking of picking a coupe up.
I do have one last question, and I appreciate all the replies from you guys. The 2001 coupe has the 3 openings in the bumper, unlike the 1 mouth look of some (all?) of the previous models. Is the 2001 the only year it came with this style? I like the 3 opening look because of how you can mount the fog lights in there. Anyone on the board have the fogs on their car?

The 148hp and 150hp F23 were the same engine.
However, the 148hp model had a more restrictive exhaust manifold that allowed it to hold in more heat and thus causing the exhaust to be hotter which aided emissions.
Else they are the same car, installing a header on each car brings them to the same hp level. It's doubtful anyone ever could notice a 2hp difference in the first place.
