Need Fast Advice
Wish I could help you out, but I have no knowledge in brakes myself...sry!
I've heard about brake dust but never knew what it was...could you educate me on it? Does that mean it's not good to buy rims like 17" or 18" and run stock rotors/pads?

Little to no noticable brake dust. If you have rims I'd spring for them...otherwise I wouldn't worry about that TOO much.

The internet sites usually say x amount for each single rotor.
All you need to do is clean the rotor to remove any grease that may decrease brake performance. Brake cleaner does the job.
Yep, you only machine or turn rotors to extend the life of them.
