Hey guys i have a 97 accord. And i donno how it happen but i was driving and my car started to die so I pulled over and i noticed that my inner fender splash shield was gone. I have no idea how that happend. But it was pretty wet out side and my filter got VERY wet, i pulled off the filter and put another one back on and the car stuttred but turned on fine. But now while driving back home my check engine light came on.

What do you guys think.

you should of changed ur oil. it still start? if so, change the oil? have an after market intake??

 

yeah i have a aem V1 cai, it still starts and runs.

 

you got some water in the motor... it'll spit and sputter till all the water is gone from the cylinders. The CEL probably came on because it was misfirring. Pull the ECU fuse, wait 10-15 sec... and put it back in... start the car and see if it comes back.

 

I let the car run for about 5 min, pulled ecu fuse. Turned off then i turned it back on and it still was on.

 

CHANGE THE OIL!!!
