Are coilovers really the best?

I thought about doing this too. I was looking at a set of ground control coilovers. can i keep the stock struts on my 94 LX if i only lower 1.5"? and would i need a camber kit?

I was thinking about ground control coilovers w/ eibach springs. What do you guys think as about those?

If you're gonna wimp out and buy the condom coiloves, ground control is definatly the way to go. The stock shocks will survive for a while at a 1.5 inch drop. The ride will improve dramatically with a good set of shocks though. A camber kit shouldn't be neccessary at 1.5 inches either. The rule of thumb is a 2 inch drop or more requires a camber kit.

I talked to a honda mechanic today who confirmed that coilovers at 1-1.5 with stock shocks would be good. f u c k, now i gotta figure out where im gonna get the cash for a set of GCs.

Just wondering, if your going to lower 1-1.5, why not just get some lowering springs? Neuspeed SoftSports would fit your requierment.

you can get eibach custom rate springs, and koni yellow struts revalved to match the rates and you'll have a compareable ride to true coilovers... thou the cost of getting the koni's and having them revalved probably will push it to the cost of the cheaper sets of true coilovers anyways.
