yep, when i hit the breaks hard, it feels like they are slipping. it makes a drumming sound. I thought it was the antilock system making sure they dont lock up when you hit them hard. Not the case eh? what you guys think?

Default 2003 Brakes

Had 22,800K; Brakes grinding occasionally. Honda resurfaced rotors and put new pads, copper impregnated instead of steel. So far so good

Default How about the 02

I did sue Honda for brakes we settled but the story was this between 7500-10000 the rear rotors warped. Then the fronts. They were replaced twice each and resurfaced 2 in 75,000 miles. Rear pads go at 50 K and between 25-50 my gas mileage would drop. When I suggested the rears were hanging up and that caused them to wear and warp they bent the heat shields back. I now have 100100 on my mileage is dropping it has been 25K since the new rears. I'm going to ceramic this week and will be watching if with the change my mileage goes up again.

We had the TSB done on my wifes accord at only 6,000 miles and it didn't fix it. We will be calling Honda America on Monday to see what the deal is. I guess no car is perfect but I would think that a safety oriented manufacturer would not overlook anything concerned with the braking system. We are out of the factory warranty and if Honda takes care of it free of charge we'll keep the car, if not then there are too many new faces in the mid-size car segment to ignore before getting into a new accord.

Do you mean that your gas mileage is dropping?
