Well, do everything mentioned above and then if you still have problems, go from there. Mushy brake feel is most often air in the brake line requiring the brakes to be bled. If you haven't changed the brake fluid, you should do that while bleeding.

If there was air in the line, and now there isn't...it should feel much better.

What is part you are unsatisfied with...braking distance, pedal feel?

I notice that I have to push down a little further to brake too. When I get the time, I just need to bleed the brakes, and I'll be fine.

Are these any good?:

The pedal feel is just pathetic, and the actual stopping performance is just as sad

so your brakes are properly bled? I've never had any problem with pedal feel even though I need to bleed mine...

he said that he can lock the wheels up if he wants, that is all you can expect from a non-abs braking system. the main thing here is that you car going from a little car, the civic, to a much larger and HEAVIER car, the accord. heavy cars with rotors the size of ours just take a while to slow down...and the inertia a 3400lbs car is considerable for the systm that is on there.

...brake earlier is about the only thng you can do, or take everything out of your car and go for a little weight reduction.....i noticed with my 6th gen LX that when I have 3+ peeps in the car, the braking distance is much longer

On my audi, if I open up the bleeder too much, air gets into the system, and bubbles pour out of the drain tube. Maybe that's what happened here...and he merely thinks that there was a lot of air in the system, when in fact, there was very little or none. This would explain his observations both during the bleed, and after the fact.

I haven't bled my Accord yet, but I suspect the same will hold true.
