Default Shaking In Steering Wheel

When braking, not hard sometimes, my steering wheel seems to shake back and forth. What could be going on here? Brakes only have about 5000 miles on them and front end was aligned about 50 miles ago.

I have that problem too...

It usually happens when I am braking lightly going 55+ mph. Pretty annoying but I think it's because the last time I asked the shop to shave my roters....they just polished them :dunno:

just like everyone said ... warped roaters. just get it looked at asap. you should beable to get them re-surfaced and it's not too expensive. if you wait too long, you'll have to get a new set.

They didn't polish them, your rotors are glazed. This is why I got into my accident, had to learn that the hard way.

Heh, well I think he is trying to say turn the rotors.

Far as the glazing goes.. last i checked cheap pads glazed not rotors

If you have a rotor with alot of runout, turning it isnt going to help.. replace it and get some GOOD pads.

I never get my rotors turned... for what they charge you, you may as well just replace them. I think Autozone gets about $30/rotor. You can do it in two hours with good tools.
