If you are talken about that mod to the throttle body that claims 15-20 hp, its fake, more like 1-3 hp. Plaus what it does is it tricks the O 2 senor into thinken that there is not enough oxygen going into the engine so it forces the car to run richer. Not the best mod but great if u want to blow your engine

the sad part is, this used to be a usable modification, not a great option, but it used to be an idea. Anyhow, the problem comes from not only that it's a scam on eBay and the people selling them are deffinately scamming people.....but also, the fact that what they sell, they have no idea what they're doing. Some ECUs read the IAT sensor sooo different. A 1k resistor may work on a civic, but on a F-150, could cause total havoc! I mean, they just send out any old resistor it seems from what I've heard, and that's what makes me even more angry...
NOT ONLY are they trying to rip people off with outrageous prices for something that readily available, etc....but they are also endagering the $1,000-30,000 vehicle that the person drives because they are just recklessly sending out any old resistor without any research, basis, etc
