In one of the recent Honda Tuning mags there was a Del Sol from MA that had a JDM ITR SRS steering wheel on it. They mentioned that wiring it up was a PITA but did not elaborate on how they did it. They did say it worked though. Unfortunately I gave the mag to my brother-in-law who lives in Buffalo so I can't get the owners name but you could try emailing Honda Tuning to see if you can get contact information for him to see how he did it.

The wheel bolts the main steering shaft.
The airbag bolts to the wheel.

Their is a chance if the other airbag uses the same number of wires then your airbag, but uses a different plug you may be able to just cut off your new plug and attach the plug from your old airbag. Airbags usually only are two ways.

Two plug or one plug for honda, one plug is just the airbag connection, 2 plugs is the airbag and the horn. You may need to refer to honda diagrams to find out what you have now.

Do a search Schmiddy and I have an install of an Acura Type-S wheel into a 6th gen Accord. This will give you the jist of the type of install you are in for.

I like the steering wheel on my 97 SE, it's leather wrapped. I think that means it came from a synthetic cow because it doesn't feel like leather to me. It's a bit thin too.
