bumper light question
hey just have a few questions: yesterday i took off my front bumper lights on my stock bumper and left it open. I wrapped up the wires w/ wire tape and i just want to know if this is safe? my turn cgnals flash faster than usual... is there a way to remove the left over wire from my bumper lights? and will it fix it? -- thanx, dnt kno how 2 explain it better.
its flashing fast because the flasher thinks there is a bulb blown... the flasher needs to see a certain amount of resistance to flash at its proper speed. The wirring has nothing to do with it.
I wouldnt say what you did is nessecarily legal, because there is no front turn signal now.
If you really want to keep it that way, get a "variable load" flasher and wire it in place of the stock flasher. (They are usually too big to fit in the stock flasher location, so short wires are needed)

I posted a fix for this a few months back. Try searching or I'll just look myself.
