I totally agree that teachers should make more if not double what AA's make. The difference is that one teaches not for the money, but the desire. I don't know anyone that desires to be an AA. Takes a little incentive to get a decent employee to do grunt work. Not that $36K is a lot anyway.
i agree. thats one reason why the pay is kept so low. it weeds out the "wants to get rich" or "wants to live in a house" type of peope.
instead of keeping the starting pay so low. they should raise it up and give more evaluations and test to the teachers. keep them on track.
private and charter > public.
