I wouldn't replace it just yet if its not dead. Alot of times there will be alot of corrosion if you havn't checked in a long time. My suggestion would be to mix some baking soda in water and pour in onto the acid to dilute it, then scrape all the crap off. After you scrape everything off wait a week and check it again. If it corrodes again get a new battery.
