I had the CV joints and boots (well, actually they just replaced the axles with rebuilt ones) replaced for around $300. If the boots are cracked then they probably have no grease...once you get little pieces of dirt in the joint, it is just a matter of time until the CV joint starts clicking. BUYER BEWARE....you can get screwed with rebuilt axles and new ones arent much more expensive...mine are going out again, guess I learned that one the hard way. Still, all the shops I priced were in the $300 range.
