its pretty easy to get the alternator off the engine, u simply release the screw that puts the tension on the belt and makes it so ur alternator can pivot back and forth and then remove the other bolt that connects it to the alternator mounting backet that it is mounted on, screw off the wires holding it on, and then u are faced with the hardest part, once its removed from the engine it is very difficult to get out of the engine bay, there are many other posts on all the weird ways we have gotten ours out b4, everything from removing the bracket and removing it from the bottom of the car. to pulling it out the drivers side tirewell, to removing the drivers side motor mount and pushing the motor up a little on a jack to provide just enough room to pull it out the top.
