personally, i prefer the low port sr engines. with an aluminum block and forged internals [stock], youre lightweight and have the potential for ~450rwhp with stock internals.
the shortfalls of the sr is probably the tranny. rwd trannies are ok, but the awd trannies break easily. fwd trannies dont last long either when theyre mated with a turbo engine.
the type-r engine is no joke, either. like i said before, the type-r trannies are near-perfect. i guess type-r's are good if turbo isn't your sort of thing.
