As long as the turbo hasn't been sitting for more than a year, it should be rusted to badly. I got mine off of a Merkur XR4Ti for 25 bucks. Actually, my buddy picked it up and never used it, so I got it.

Volvos are good sources for junkyard turbos... when I owned mine, I found TONS of 740s, 760s, 940s, etc. with used TD05s and whatnot. Garrett or Mitsubishi, Volvo used both. In fact, just about anything you want can be found in a Volvo. Another rich source: LeBarons.

You can put together a home made turbo kit if you know what you are doing(doesn't sound like you do, no offense) for around 500.
