You could try an oil cooler. Oil also participates in cooling the engine so the cooler it is, the more cooling it can do while running through your engine and since you're running oil through your turbo... it's hotter than usual.

SleeperCivicEX is a '99 turbo Y8 and he has problems too. We've done everything short of replace the water pump and get an oil cooler.

He's running a Fluidyne, FAL fan, cut thermostat and new temp sensor. We're kinda baffled about it, but think that it may be the water pump.

An oil cooler can never hurt.

I don't have any trouble in texas heat with the A/C on. the only thing I did is change my waterpump when they tore down my engine. Maybe it is the waterpump?

I have absolutely no problems.
Never do anything to the thermostat except get a new one.

I run stock fan, radiator water pump, and new thermostat and radiator cap. It's always at 1/3

I really think it is. If I replace it and it still overheats, I'm going to be so pissed! It doesn't happen all the time, nor do I have to be racing for it to overheat.

An OEM water pump is not $350. I got one for my brother's D15B7 for like ~$40 FROM HONDA.

Sleeper has removed his thermostat.. you have to cut out the center, you can't just remove the whole thing because it also acts as a gasket h:

Your motor "should" be okay with the thermostat still installed. If it's not, then you have to look at other causes.

wow i don't have any problems and it's 100 degrees out here in the summer. Hell its' still 90's right now and i boost it around town at 8 psi all day long. I'm on a bone stock cooling system with a 30X6X2.25" intercooler

Try adding some redline water wetter to your coolant, it really helps. I tested about 30 degrees cooler with the OBD2 reader after i put it in. Or just get a bigger front mount
